Moore
County Library Policies
Our Internet Use Policy governs usage of library computers.
o All patrons must have library card in hand to check out materials.
o
A library card is free to Moore County residents. Two forms of
identification containing the applicant’s current address
must be presented.
o Temporary and non-resident cards are available
for a fee.
o Moore County Library Cards may be used in any
Moore County branch or bookmobile as well as in any of the other
libraries
in the Sandhill
Regional System in the counties of Anson, Hoke, Montgomery
and Richmond.
o Lost cards can be replaced for a $5.00 fee.
o
Books may be returned to any library within the system.
o Books,
magazines (except for current issues) and books-on-tape may
be borrowed for 2 weeks.
o Books may be borrowed from any library
within the Sandhill
Regional Library System at no charge.
o A postage fee will
be charged for books borrowed from libraries outside the Regional
system.
o The fee for overdue books is .05 cents per
day per book.
o All items except videos and some books from
other libraries may be renewed one time by phone unless there
is a
waiting
list.
o Videos may be borrowed on an ADULT card only.
o
Videos may be borrowed overnight for a fee of $1.00 per video.
A late fee of $2.00 per day is charged
for each
video that is
late.
o First-time Internet users must register
at Circulation Desk.
o Internet users age 12 and under must
be accompanied by an adult. All other minors under age 18 require
a signed
parental permission agreement.
